437: The announcer tells us that there'll be a short break before the adults division starts at 1:40 PM. The Z Senshi head towards the place that they're supposed to go or whatever, and some dude halts them saying only the people who qualified can pass. Kuririn says that if the results are in, he'd see they all qualified. So he asks their names. Gokuu. Kuririn. Vegeta. Ma Junior. Juuhachigou. Gokuu wonders about Piccolo calling himself Ma Junior again, and he says that "Piccolo" might not sit too well with the people (referring of Piccolo Daimaou, I guess). He let's em through, and tells em that at 1:30 they're drawing to see who faces who. Kuririn says it's in the bag for them, and that Gokuu can't use the money in the afterlife. He also doesn't age when he's dead. So, Gokuu wants to know if Kuririn would like to try being dead (again). But he declines, he's VERY happy now. Yeah... Elsewhere, Trunks snoops around, and then he calls for Goten. Trunks tells him to look at this dude in a mask. Since he's standing over there, he's passed the preliminaries. Trunks says they could use him. He suggests the two of them take his clothes, and no one would know it was them. Then they could fight the adults. Goten's sorta weary about it at first, but Trunks talks him into it. So, Trunks goes up to the dude and tells him a pretty girl was asking for him. He drags him around the corner to take him to her, and BAM! Knocks him out, and he and Goten take the clothes. Goten says they're too small for it, and Trunks says that's why they both wear it. Trunks sits on Goten's shoulders, and they pull it over their head. Voila! Oh my, this has to be seen to be believed. Meanwhile, Gokuu is eating, as usual. And so is Vegeta and Kuririn. Piccolo's just being Piccolo, and I can't see Juuhachigou. Kuririn's wondering why a dead guy is hungry, and Gokuu says it doesn't matter if you eat in the afterlife. Earth food is better. Then Videl and THE GREAT SAIYAMAN show up, and the others already ordered their food for them. Oh now I see, Juuhachigou's just sitting there. Gohan digs in too, and Kuririn wonders about Saiya-jin stomachs. Gohan wonders why Videl didn't eat, and Kuririn tells us it's time for the drawing. Gokuu's stuffed. Then Piccolo gets a weird look on his face as they approach these two weird dudes. There's a big serious dude, and a little punker dude, who isn't touching the ground... Everyone's speechless about em, except Videl, who wonders aloud about the floating people. The little dude says hi to Gokuu, addressing him by name, which makes Gokuu wonder. The little dude's heard of him, apparently, and has wanted to fight with him for a while. He's passed the preliminaries, so he's in it too. The little punker dude doesn't think he'll beat Gokuu, but he wants to see how strong he is. They shake hands, and the little punker dude says Gokuu has a fine spirit. The two weird dudes head on, and Gokuu thinks their victory isn't guaranteed after all. But Kuririn doesn't. Piccolo's pretty weirded out, and I don't think Vegeta cares either way. 438: And so, now we can see that the sixteen finalists are: Son Gokuu. Vegeta. Ma Junior. Kuririn. Juuhachigou. THE GREAT SAIYAMAN. Videl. Mr. Satan. Shin (the little punker dude). Kibit (the big dude). Punter (this big fat Turkish dude). Mighty Mask (Trunks and Goten). Keela (this dude with a mustache). Jewel (this pretty boy). Yamu (scary lookin dude with an M on his head). Supopo Bitchi (even scarier lookin dude with an M on his head). Anyways, Piccolo thinks the two weird dudes look like aliens. They can't be from Earth. He doesn't know why an alien would be here, though. (Piccolo...doesn't...know...?) Videl thinks it's weird that Piccolo would be so bothered about aliens, him not looking like an Earthling and all. But her and Gohan agree that those two dudes did seem weird. They all head towards the drawing place, and Kuririn prays to God that he doesn't end up fighting someone strong. Piccolo tells him that God's name is Dende. Gokuu doesn't think there'll be any challenges other than the two weird dudes (Shin and Kibit). Then he wonders about the two scary dudes (Yamu and Supopo Bitchi). Gokuu also thinks Mighty Mask is funny looking, and I couldn't agree more. The announcer calls them in alphabetical order (not English, but Japanese). Keela gets #14. Kibit gets #7. Kuririn is #1 (not really though). THE GREAT SAIYAMAN is #8, so he's fighting Kibit. Juuhachigou gets #9. Shin gets #3. Trunks and Goten don't know the dude they beat up's name, so they think that Supopo Bitchi might be them when he doesn't step up immediately. Those sillies! The announcer tells them they're Mighty Mask, and then the big, mean, scary Supopo Bitchi steps up. Then Trunks is mad about Goten making them look stupid, but of course, Goten reminds him that it was a mutual decision. Supopo Bitchi gets #6. Jewel gets #16 (shouldn't he have come between Juuhachigou and Shin?). Gokuu gets #11. Videl asks about her dad, and the announcer tells her he's taking a break, and he'll draw for him. She gets #5, and Gokuu realizes she's Mr. Satan's daughter. Then Kuririn gets revenge on Gohan for blurting out his crush on Juuhachigou by saying something about Gohan and Videl getting married. Punter gets #2, and Kuririn's excited, because that makes them opponents. The dude threatens Kuririn, but he just gets blown off. Vegeta gets #12, which means he's facing Gokuu! Vegeta's certainly happy about his chance to finally defeat Kakarott, and Gokuu looks excited at the thought as well. Trunks and Goten argue over who'll win between their dads. Trunks reminds Goten that his dad is dead, therefore Vegeta's gonna win. Mighty Mask gets called, and they get #13. Ma Junior gets #4, which means he's facing Shin, the little punker dude. Mr. Satan is drawn as #10, which means he's facing Juuhachigou. Videl thinks she's unlucky to have to face her dad right off. And finally, Yamu gets #15. And the results are in (image not all in my handwriting anymore!): Kuririn vs Punter. Shin vs Ma Junior. Videl vs Supopo Bitchi. Kibit vs THE GREAT SAIYAMAN. Juuhachigou vs Mr. Satan. Son Gokuu vs Vegeta. Mighty Mask vs Keela. Yamu vs Jewel. The announcer leads them to the dressing rooms, reminds them of the rules, and tells them there'll be a thirty minute time limit because of all the fights. Punter says he'll finish off Kuririn in ten seconds. Then, the announcer gets on the microphone and declares that the Tenkaichi Budoukai will soon begin. Somewhere, Mr. Satan asks some servant dude who he's fighting, but all he knows is that she's someone pretty. Satan's happy about that, to say the least. 439: The announcer reads it off for those who can't see from far away (or read Japanese, I guess), and then Buruma and Yamcha and Chi-Chi and Pual and Kamesennin and the little blond girl're in the audience, and Yamcha says Gokuu and Vegeta should be interesting or something. The announcer announces Kuririn vs Punter, and he briefs everyone in on how Kuririn used to compete as a kid, and did pretty good. Punter is violent and was very difficult to beat when he competed. The little blond girl wonders if her daddy's gonna be okay, and Yamcha tells her that her dad's the strongest dude in the world, at least among the humans. (That's crap! Ten-san is the strongest human, he can take on Chestnut Head anyday. Heh, fangirlism...) The announcer doesn't think Punter will hold back against the much smaller Kuririn. More idle threats, and then Kuririn thinks to himself he'll just make it quick. The fight begins, and Punter jumps around boasting, and then Kuririn sighs and quickly and effortlessly knocks him outta the ring. The next match then starts immediately afterwards. The announcer introduces Shin as a newcomer, but tells about how Ma Junior put up one hell of a fight years ago. He asks him, again, not to destroy the ring. Some dude in the audience recognizes him as one of the dudes in the way when Mr. Satan fought Cell. The fight starts, and Gokuu and the others wonder about Shin. Piccolo finds himself unable to fight Shin, and he doesn't know why. He wonders what he is, and then Shin tells him he'll soon find out. Ooh, so this little punker dude is telepathic... Piccolo then decides to surrender. No joke. Then Shin realizes that Piccolo used to be the Earth's God, and he's beginning to see who he is. So, he's more than just a little punker dude? Hmm... Gokuu asks Piccolo if he's really that strong, and he says there's too big of a difference between them. And Kuririn gets nervous because he has to face him in the quarterfinals. And then the third match is announced, Videl and Supopo Bitchi. Videl gets cheered, and she's announced as Mr. Satan's daughter, a defender of love and justice who's arrested many criminals, and she won the kids division at the 24th Budoukai seven years ago. Supopo Bitchi is someone who lost at the last Budoukai, he's back with a new look. A scary one... Shin gives him a dirty look as they pass each other. 440: Shin continues the dirty look thing as he walks off, and the crowd chants for Videl. Videl thinks this dude's pretty creepy, but creepy doesn't even touch the surface of Supopo Bitchi. Sharpner and Erasa cheer for Videl in the crowd, and then we see Jewel and Keela commenting on Supopo Bitchi looking completely different from last time. Yeah, he doesn't look scary at all with that hair and stuff. The announcer calls for the fight to begin, and they stare each other down. Backstage, though, Gokuu and Vegeta glimpse over at Shin, and then Piccolo asks him if he's... If he's who, Shin wonders. Piccolo wants to know if Shin is Dai Kaiou-sama. Nope. Kibit shows up and tells him he's Kaioushin-sama. "Ka-Ka-Kaioushin?!" Shin, well, Kaioushin-sama, tells him not to tell anyone yet. "Ka-Ka-Kaioushin?!" Piccolo thinks to himself about how he heard that he's even higher up than Dai Kaiou-sama, which makes him the god of the Kaious. Gokuu asks Piccolo what's wrong, if he was being stuck up, cause if he was, he'll give him a piece of his mind. But Piccolo freaks out and tells Gokuu not to say anything (really funny!). Elsewhere, Kaiou-sama wonders why Kaioushin-sama, whom even he has never met, would be on Earth. And it looks like Videl is puttin a hurtin on Supopo Bitchi. Gokuu and Gohan comment on this, and she continues to beat on him until the announcer declares that it's over. She gets cheered, and then, to Gokuu's surprise, he gets back up and comes at her. Videl pounds on him some more, knocks him down again, and then tries to catch her breath. But, he gets back up once again, shocking Gohan, and Gokuu thinks she should give up, there's something weird about him. Then Supopo Bitchi knocks her on her ass, the first time he's hit her throughout the match. ![]() 441: Videl gets up, and gets kicked, nearly outta the ring, but she catches herself and flies back into the ring. Just like Cell did! The crowd and announcer are wowed, and Gohan's impressed at her improved flying ability, but Gokuu thinks she'd've been better off if she'd lost. Gohan doesn't understand, but Gokuu says he doesn't either. Videl goes at him and kicks him in the head, and his neck is broken! Ugh, it's all twisted around and everything. And then he twists it back to its proper position, freaking everyone out. He punches Videl in the face, and she starts bleeding pretty badly. Kuririn says that he agrees with Gokuu about the dude not being normal. Big scary dude comes at her again, and misses, since she flies up. Gohan thinks it's good that she stays up there and rests, and then, apparently, Supopo Bitchi can fly too. Everyone's shocked, including Keela and Jewel. He flies up even higher than Videl, and then positions his hand down at her as if he was going to blast her. He does some kinda little blast and knocks her crashing down towards the ring, but she catches herself at the last second. Kuririn's pissed about him using a ki attack, albeit a weak one. But Vegeta tells him not to worry, since killing is against the rules, and he purposely fired off a weak one. Gohan doesn't understand how he can do this stuff that only they are supposed to be able to do, and Gokuu says that it looks like he's holding more power than he can handle, and wonders what it means. He beats on her some more, but she refuses to give up. The audience thinks it's terrible, and Gohan yells out for her to just give up. 442: Supopo Bitchi grabs Videl by the head and delivers a gruesome blow to the gut. This is not a pretty picture, folks. The audience yells out for him to stop, otherwise she'll die. He whacks her again, and she ends up hanging over the edge of the ring. Gohan yells out for her to surrender, and the announcer tells her he also thinks she should give up. But she still refuses, even though she's a bloody mess. Gohan tells her not to be stubborn, and that Supopo Bitchi'll kill her, he doesn't care that she's a girl. But Videl gets up and delivers a kick to the chin, and it doesn't phase him. He grabs her by the hair and gives her a knee to the face, and Gohan starts to get angry. He throws her to the ground, and we see Kuririn and Videl's friends all looking on in horror. Gohan looks like he's getting ready to turn Super Saiya-jin as Gokuu tries to get him to calm down by saying Supopo Bitchi's not gonna kill her. He steps on her head, and then Gohan loses it. His bandanna flies off as the hair changes, and he throws off his cape as the others try to calm him down, when suddenly, Yamu yells out for Supopo Bitchi to stop. He tells him that's not what they came for, and to hurry up and win. So, he drags her across the ring and throws her out, and the announcer declares Supopo Bitchi the winner. Gohan detransforms and picks up Videl to take her to the hospital, and then tells Supopo Bitchi that he'll get him for this. Gokuu asks if there's any Senzu beans, but Kuririn says no, since they didn't intend on anyone getting hurt, they came there for fun. So, Gokuu uses his Shunkan Idou (Instant Transmission) to go to Karin-sama and get some. Gohan arrives in the back with Videl, and Kuririn tells him about Gokuu's little Senzu side-trip, which makes him happy. Mr. Satan, on the other hand, can't believe it, since, after all, she's the second strongest after him. He can't believe she's been hurt, and thinks she must've dropped her guard. Our champion rushes to the little hospital room, not liking the situation, but Gohan tells him it'll be okay. Satan thinks maybe Gohan was the one who did that to her, but some dude tells him that he was the one who brought her here. So, Satan tells Gohan thanks, and says he'll give him his autograph later. He can get outta the way now. Videl tells Gohan to beat Supopo Bitchi for her, and he says he will, since he's facing him next round. If he beats Kibit, that is... Satan tells Videl that Gohan can't do it, and daddy'll beat the dude for her. Videl gives him a weird look, hard to really tell what kind with all the blood, and Satan freaks out or something. He thinks she's going out with Gohan, and he forbids her to go out with such a weakling. He tells her only someone stronger than him can date her. Up at Karin Tower, Karin-sama gives Gokuu the Senzu beans, and says he has a bad feeling about everything. Gokuu does too, and he tells him "Arigatou!" Yajirobe is now sporting a cool new mustache. 443: The announcer tells the crowd that despite her injuries, Videl's gonna be alright. No worries. He says that they'll begin the fourth match, Kibit vs THE GREAT..., but Gohan runs out and asks them to wait a few minutes for Videl's miracle medicine to arrive. Then Gokuu returns with three Senzu beans, and Gohan asks Kibit to wait (no reply). Gohan runs in the little hospital room, and Mr. Satan yells at him about Videl needing rest. He gives her the Senzu bean, and some dude tells him you can't give strange food to patients, and Satan says it's not snack time. Hmm, if it's not now, then when is the official Tenkaichi Budoukai snack time? Videl knows it has to be something weird, coming from Gohan. Satan yells at her to spit it out, and then Gohan tells her he's off to his match. Satan's pissed at Gohan, and then suddenly, Videl's fully healed, and Satan and the dude are shocked. Gohan apologizes to Kibit and the announcer for the delay, and the fourth match is announced, Kibit vs THE GREAT SAIYAMAN. Sharpner and Erasa and this other dude who looks kinda familiar (I think he was the one who got the name wrong) all take note of the next challenger being Satan City's new defender of love and justice. The one dude then pulls out his viewmaster or whatever, and says that THE GREAT SAIYAMAN looks like Gohan. Sharpner looks through it, and agrees that it's Gohan. Erasa says it's probably because he wanted to come in secret, and Sharpner asks why. Good luck, she suggests. They decide to cheer for Gohan, even though he won't win. And then he hears em cheering his name. They cheer for him to try his best, don't lose in the opening round, even though you're not gonna win. Gohan realizes that despite all his work, his secret has been revealed, and he takes off his COOL shades, and thinks that his bandanna must've fallen off and given him away. He nervously waves back at them, and one of em says he looks better now. NO HE DOES NOT. THE GREAT SAIYAMAN IS MISSING HIS CAPE, BANDANNA, AND SUNGLASSES. HIS COOLNESS HAS DISAPPEARED WITH THEM. MAY THE GREAT SAIYAMAN REST IN PEACE. WE ARE NOW STUCK WITH THE PLAIN OL' GOOFY, NERDY, PICCOLO-LOVING GOHAN ONCE AGAIN. I'M ECSTATIC. (That last sentence wasn't all that sarcastic, BTW, I kinda like the growed up Gohan-kun.) The announcer tells them to begin, and Gohan thinks to himself about how he can't show off his full strength, since it'll cause problems when he goes to school, which is why he had the disguise. Gohan also thinks about how Kibit doesn't exactly seem like an easy opponent. He's like ten feet tall, and has a very solemn demeanor, not a smirky punker look like Kaioushin-sama has. Kibit then tells Gohan to turn Super Saiya-jin, so they can find out if he's strong enough to help them. Gohan wants to know how he knows about that, and what's meant by "helping" them. Kibit tells him he'll know soon enough, just do it. Gohan doesn't really wanna transform where everybody can see him. Kuririn asks what they're talking about, and Gokuu tells him they're talking about SSJ transformation. Yamu then asks if they're (not specified who "they" is) the ones they've been looking for. Supopo Bitchi then looks at some clock thing that has an M on it (remember I said the two of them both have M's on their foreheads), and says no, they don't have enough energy. Hmm... Piccolo then calls out for Gohan, and Gokuu asks what's wrong. He's not sure. Then Kaioushin-sama walks up to them saying they're going to use Gohan, sorry. And they shouldn't do anything about it, no matter what. Oh my... Back in the ring, Gohan decides he has no choice, and goes with it. Back out of the ring, Vegeta doesn't answer to strangers (or anyone else for that matter...), and wants to know who he is. Piccolo tells them how he's Kaioushin-sama, the god of the Kaious, even higher up than Dai Kaiou-sama. Vegeta and Kuririn are surprised, Kuririn more so, but Gokuu's heard of him through Kaiou-sama. Then the announcer and audience remind the fighters that the fight has started, and Gohan starts to transform. 444: The transformation continues (dramatic delay, I guess), and Chi-Chi yells at the other spectators about how it'll be a great fight. Kuririn asks Kaioushin-sama about what'll happen after Gohan transforms, and he says that Yamu and Supopo Bitchi will probably attack him. And don't help him, like he said before. They're not gonna kill him, he continues, just steal his energy. Gohan tells Kibit he's gonna transform despite the fact he doesn't know why, and he's gonna go a step further than SSJ. Kibit didn't know there was a stronger level, and finally Gohan moves along with it. And...it's done. Videl notices it, and wonders about it, and the clock thing (apparently it measures the energy they're looking for) is going off the scale, and Gohan is the one they're looking for. Gohan smirks and asks Kibit what now, does he want to fight him? Kibit is shocked that a mortal would possess such power. (Gohan...mortal...?) Vegeta says Gohan's not even close to the level he was at when he fought Cell, since the peace has kept him from training. But still, he's much stronger than Kaioushin-sama expected, and he's not sure if he can contain it. The kids from school now know that Gohan is also the golden haired dude. Gohan tells Kibit to fight, and then Yamu pulls out some weird turkey baster thing, and he tells Supopo Bitchi that they're going to go steal his energy. They charge at him, and Gohan wonders why, and then Kaioushin-sama does some kinda freeze technique to Gohan. They use the turkey baster thing to steal his energy, and being frozen or whatever, Gohan can't do anything about it. Videl is shocked, and the Z Senshi are pissed about not being able to do anything. And then it's finished, they drop him, and fly off. Kaioushin-sama tells the Z Senshi to stay put, as Kibit will take care of everything. He then says he's gonna follow them, and that they can come along if they want, they'd be a big help. Off he flies, the audience is in shock, and Chi-Chi's worried about Gohan. Kuririn asks Gokuu what to do, as Kuririn is incapable of making decisions for himself. Of course, Gokuu says he's going too, to see how he can be of help. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
