Gokuu finally gets up, not too thrilled about Vegeta taking the last Senzu bean. He says he can feel Buu's ki, but not Vegeta's, and finds it hard to believe that Buu could've killed him. And he can't feel Gohan's ki, either, and wonders what's happened. He can feel Piccolo and Kuririn, though, so they must not be statues anymore. Then he prepares to use Shunkan Idou to find out what's happened during his little nap. Up at the palace of God, Kuririn asks Piccolo how long until the little dudes wake up, and he says an hour. Kuririn feels bad about Gohan and Vegeta being dead, even though Vegeta was evil, and worries about Gokuu, too. Then he asks Dende, err, God, if it'd be alright for them to bring their families up there, or would it be too selfish? Dende asks Piccolo, and he says to judge for himself. Dende says sure, since they wouldn't be alive in the first place if it wasn't for them. "Arigatou!" says Kuririn, and then, they feel a familiar ki. Gokuu's arrived. They're all happy to see him, Kuririn especially, and Gokuu just wants to know what's going on. But so do they. And Dende says he'll heal Gokuu's wounds. Some time passes, they tell each other what they know, I guess, and Gokuu feels bad about Gohan, and Kaioushin-sama, and finds it hard to believe that Vegeta's gone too. Piccolo says Kaioushin-sama was absolutely right about Buu's power, and the universe will be destroyed if they don't do something. Kuririn says that Gokuu's the only hope they have left of defeating it. But Gokuu doesn't think so, since he and Vegeta were at about the same level, and Vegeta couldn't even phase it. Kuririn says he understands, and Gokuu says that if Vegeta or Gohan were still alive, they'd have a chance. Piccolo doesn't think jumping Buu GANGSTA STYLE would work, but Gokuu says that's not what he meant. He's talkin 'bout Fusion. Dende recognizes that as a Metamoru-jin technique, and Gokuu says he learned it from a Metamoru-jin he met in the afterlife. He explains to Piccolo how only people of near equal size and strength can use it, and the two will combine into a single being far stronger than either was before. The Metamoru-jin who taught it to him were weak, but after Fusion, they became a really strong fighter. And Piccolo realizes that if Gohan or Vegeta were alive, Gokuu could've fused with them. Gokuu says he's never performed Fusion before, since nobody was as strong as him in the afterlife. It took him a whole week to learn it, though. Kuririn gets excited and says that since he'll soon be going back to the afterlife, he can fuse with Gohan or Vegeta there. But Piccolo explains that Gokuu couldn't return even if he was fused, and Vegeta's not gonna be in the afterlife anyways. But then Mr. Popo comes up with the most brilliant suggestion in the history of Dragon Ball: the two little sleeping dudes, Trunks and Goten, are about the same size and strength. Gokuu agrees that it's a great idea, and says he's gonna teach them Fusion until he has to leave, and Piccolo'll have to pick up where he left off. Kuririn's excited, but Piccolo says that a lotta people will probably die while they teach Fusion to the little dudes, maybe even the whole planet will get destroyed. But Gokuu says as long as there's the Dragon Balls, and someone around to make a wish, there's nothing to worry about. Kuririn says he's off to bring everyone up there, and then, suddenly, the sky's all black. That can mean only one thing: Shenlong's been summoned. Kuririn thinks Buruma must've done it, and wonders why. Gokuu says it's probably to wish back the people killed at the Budoukai. Dende says that if they make a wish, the Dragon Balls can't be used for another year. Gokuu prepares to use Shunkan Idou to go stop them, although it takes a little while since Buruma's ki is hard to find. Down at Capsule Corp, Shenlong is so awesome... Videl certainly wasn't expecting him. Yamcha decides the wish should be to revive all the people that died today, except the evil ones. Shenlong says it's granted, and wants to know the second wish. Then Gokuu arrives, and everyone's surprised to see him. He tells Dende telepathically they've already used a wish, and he tells Gokuu to just say they don't need the other TWO wishes, and Shenlong can be summoned again in four months. (Hmm, Dende must've upgraded Shenlong these past seven years.) Gokuu tells Dende to tell Kuririn that he'll bring everyone up there, and then tells Shenlong see ya. Our awesome dragon bids farewell, and Yamcha asks Gokuu what's going on. Then we see Babidi flying on Buu, wondering about why it got dark and light again so suddenly. And Kibit's alive.
Babidi cackles about how he's gonna get those pesky kids or whatever, and Kibit, who's standing in the middle of the crater created by Vegeta, worries about Kaioushin-sama. He says Kaioushin-sama's still alive, and rushes off to find him. Then, we see Kaioushin-sama, and he says that Gohan's still alive, but barely, and then he collapses. Kibit arrives just in time and heals him. Kaioushin-sama tells him how he's supposed to be dead, but Kibit doesn't understand his revival either. Then Kaioushin-sama tells him to hurry, he has to heal Gohan, and they fly off. They both talk about how strong Buu is, and Kibit says how the universe is doomed, and whatever. But Kaioushin-sama says there's still hope, and Kibit asks if he means Gohan. Yes, he says that if they make Gohan even stronger, he might beat Buu. Kibit thinks he's gone mad, but Kaioushin-sama tells him that he didn't see those Saiya-jin in action, and has no idea what kind of power they have. Then they find Gohan, and touch down to heal him. But Kaioushin-sama says to heal him after they get back to his planet, and Kibit freaks about letting a mere human on that sacred place where not even Dai Kaiou-sama has been. So, Kibit uses Kai Kai and off they go. Then, up at God's palace, someone asks Buruma about why her parents didn't come, and she says they didn't wanna leave the animals or something, and they aren't worried because of the Dragon Balls. Kuririn (holding the little blond girl) says they'd've brought Tenshinhan and Chaozu if they could find them. Damn... Chi-Chi asks about Gohan and Goten, and Buruma asks about Vegeta and Trunks. Kuririn freaks out, like he always does, but Gokuu says it bluntly: Trunks and Goten are perfectly fine, but Gohan and Vegeta are dead, killed by Buu. Everyone's shocked, and Chi-Chi faints, as Buruma whines and cries about not wanting Vegeta to be dead. Then, a voice asks if the people of Earth can hear him. His name is Babidi, and he's a magician, and it's pointless to look for him, since he's talking to them through their hearts. We see him and Buu up on a cliff, overlooking a city. He continues by apologizing for interrupting their peace, but three idiots were the cause of an injustice to him today, and he's looking for them. We see a random crowd of civilians wondering about it. Babidi tells them to close their eyes and they'll see the three he's looking for. And we see an image of Piccolo, Trunks, and Goten. Piccolo and Gokuu and everyone don't like this at all. Babidi says they know who they are, and should show themselves. Then he shows everyone who he is, the magician Babidi, and his terrifying, unbeatable servant, Ma-jin Buu. Then he shows the city, and Buu's going to demonstrate what'll happen if those three don't show themselves. He doesn't like to waste time, so it'll be quick and clean. Buu then magically lifts all the people in the city off the ground, and it turns them all into candy, and then inhales them and eats them up. Babidi says that's what's gonna happen to everyone.
Babidi says the city is useless without its people, and tells Buu to get rid of it, but don't destroy the whole planet. Buu takes a deep breath, and then blows everything up with some kinda mouth blast. Babidi then shows everyone once more, an image of Piccolo, then Trunks, then Goten. Tell him where they are if they don't want to be eaten by Buu. And they'd better hurry, cause Buu's gonna kill all the Earthlings in five days. Buu sings and dances, and Babidi says that to get in touch with him, all they'll have to do is call him mentally. And then someone does. One of the dudes who works at the Budoukai tells him that they were all three competitors there today, and their names are Ma Junior, Trunks, and Goten. Babidi says names are no good, he needs addresses, which the dude doesn't have. So, Babidi explodes his head, ugh... Babidi says he's a busy person, and doesn't want useless information. He says that one of YOU (yes, YOU) might be next, who knows? Hiding is pointless, since he's gonna blow up the entire planet in five days. End transmission, or something. Piccolo's pissed, and nobody else is too thrilled either. Piccolo says he'll surrender to prevent anymore deaths, but Gokuu says no, since he has to teach the little dudes Fusion after he leaves, and Babidi'll kill everyone anyways. They'll just wish the people and the Earth back with the Dragon Balls if anything happens, and Piccolo gives in. Out on another planet, they arrive with Gohan, and Kaioushin-sama tells Kibit to heal him. Gohan asks where he is, and Kaioushin-sama tells him it's his planet, Kaioushin Kai, and Gohan thinks he must be dead, but he tells him otherwise. Kibit tells Gohan how not even the lower gods and Kaious are allowed on this planet. Then Gohan says he's sure Kibit was dead, and asks if he brought himself back. No, he can't do that, he doesn't know he came back. Gohan asks him why he's there, and Kibit doesn't know, so he asks Kaioushin-sama. He says it's because he wants Gohan to use the Z Sword against Buu, he thinks he can use it. Kibit freaks out, since no lowly human could use it, not even him or any of the Kaioushins were able to use it. But Kaioushin-sama tells Kibit he didn't see Gohan's power while he was dead, and he doesn't understand how strong he really is, so they have to at least try. They fly off, and Gohan thinks it's nice there, just like home. Then Kibit says his clothes aren't fit for such a holy place (the tattered remains of THE GREAT SAIYAMAN), and gives him a new outfit, just like the one he's wearing. Hey, he actually looks kinda cool, whaddaya know? Kaioushin-sama agrees, although Gohan doesn't much like the idea of looking like Kibit. Then they arrive on a little plateau, and there's the Z Sword. Kaioushin-sama says that nobody's ever been able to pull it out, and Gohan says it's just like this old story. Back at the palace of God, Trunks and Goten are awake, and have apparently heard the news about Gohan and Vegeta. Trunks sorta cries, and refuses to believe his dad would be killed by something like Buu, and Goten cries about Gohan (aww...). Gokuu gets serious and tells them there's no time for crying, and the only way to avenge their deaths is to learn this new technique from him. He says they have to start immediately, since they don't know when Babidi will find them, and Piccolo asks if they wanna use the Room of Spirit and Time. Gokuu says no, since they might need to use it later in life. Gokuu says he's gonna start, and tells Piccolo to watch carefully.
Gohan asks what happens if you pull out the Z Sword, and Kibit says you'll receive unbelievable power, enough to even defeat Buu. Gohan asks if it's really that good, but Kibit says it doesn't matter, since he won't pull it out anyways. Kaioushin-sama tells him to just watch, and tells Gohan to give it a try. He pulls and pulls, and it just won't come out. Kibit's not surprised, and so then Gohan turns Super Saiya-jin and tries again. Kibit thinks he'll still have the same result, and he pulls and pulls. Kibit goes on about how if none of the Kaioushins could ever pull it out, a mere human definitely couldn't. And then it budges, and Gohan completely pulls it out. In your face, Kibit, ha ha! Kaioushin-sama's happy, he knew he could do it, and Kibit's in total disbelief. Kaioushin-sama asks him what he thinks of the sword of legend, and Gohan says it's heavy, but he doesn't really feel any power in it, and wonders if it could really defeat Buu. Kibit tells him that's the most powerful sword there is, and it can be used to defeat Buu, as soon as he learns to handle a sword. Gohan says it's easier said than done, and hands the sword to Kibit, and he immediately drops it and leaves a big imprint in the ground. He turns his back and says it might've been a little heavy (hmph), but Gohan still needs to learn to use it. Back at God's palace, Gokuu explains how Fusion only lasts for a half hour, and after that, they'll return to normal and be unable to fuse for a little while. Piccolo thinks a half hour's no good, but Gokuu says if done right, thirty minutes is plenty, that's how powerful it is. Then Gokuu looks at the two little dudes and tells them to go SSJ. They just scowl at him (kawaii!), and Gokuu asks why. Trunks asks what he was doing while Dad and Gohan were getting killed. Gokuu says he was unconscious, and Trunks thinks he must be a weakling. Goten says learning from him won't help them at all. Gokuu's kinda surprised, and Piccolo prepares to lecture them about how strong he is, when Gokuu says that they're right, he is weak, and can't do anything to stop Buu. But he can still teach them Fusion, and it's the only way they can avenge Vegeta and Gohan. They're still hesitant, and then we get another voice-over from Babidi. He's found a much bigger city to destroy, this time, and if Ma Junior, Trunks, and Goten don't show up right now... Some random civilian dudes realize that that's their city, and they look up at the sky and see Buu. Trunks says he's talking about them, and Goten says you can see him if you close your eyes, even though Piccolo warns them they're better off not doing it. Babidi says that since nobody's talking, he's just gonna let Buu eat everyone. Trunks and Goten watch as Buu turns everyone into chocolate, and then eats the little chocolate bars. (This is actually making me kinda hungry...) Babidi says Buu's all fulled up on chocolate, so they'll just blow up the next city. Then Trunks and Goten tell Babidi they're going to kill him soon, and Piccolo tells them to stop or they'll be found. Babidi thinks they're cheating for hiding, and Gokuu asks them if they're ready to learn Fusion yet, and they both nod.
Gokuu tells them to both turn Super Saiya-jin, and they both comply. Then he tells them to raise their kis as high as possible, and they do so, thinking they'll surprise him. Doesn't happen, although Piccolo does seem kinda awed by it. Gokuu says that's their limit, and Trunks is a little bit stronger, so he needs to lower his ki to match Goten's. And after a little more fine-tuning, he's at his level, and Gokuu tells him to remember that. He says they can turn back to normal, and then tells them to raise their kis as high as possible in regular mode, since it's hard to fuse as SSJ. And Babidi's back, with good news. Apparently, one of the kids lives in West City (Trunks), and he'd better hurry before Buu destroys it. Trunks is pissed, since his grandparents are still there, and Buruma's not too happy either. Gokuu tells her they'll just bring them back with the Dragon Balls, but Piccolo says they've already wished back a lotta people on the first wish, and so he and Gokuu try to think of another way to word the wish. But then Buruma says that both Dragon Radars are there, and neither can be rebuilt, and so Gokuu tells Trunks to go home and get them while he holds off Buu. Trunks thinks Gokuu'll just get killed, but he says not to worry about him and teleports away as Trunks flies off. Babidi yells at Buu for flying past the city, and then Gokuu appears in front of them. Babidi thought Vegeta'd killed him, and then thanks him for aiding in Buu's revival. Gokuu says he and Vegeta underestimated it, and didn't think Buu'd be this strong. Babidi says of course, and wants to know why he came, to tell where the three of them are? But Gokuu tells him nope, since one of them's his son. He came to warn him. Babidi thinks that's hilarious, and decides everyone should see it. Gokuu says he'll find them soon, but first they're training to defeat Buu, which they also think is funny. Babidi says they're not gonna wait, if those three don't come now, they're gonna kill more Earthlings. And Gokuu says they'll have it their way, and he'll hold them off. Babidi thinks that's funny, and then asks Buu why it isn't killing Gokuu yet (it's whistling with its hand on its hips). Finally, Buu obliges, and Gokuu asks it why it obeys Babidi. Babidi yells to stop changing the subject, Buu belongs to his family, and has no choice but to obey him. Buu looks sorta defiant, and Babidi asks if it wants to be sealed away again. And then Buu smirks and tells Babidi that if he seals it away, he'll get killed by the good guys. Babidi's angry about Buu figuring that out, and then Buu says it'll kill Gokuu anyways, since it hates him for looking so nice. Gokuu says something about how he has to do it, and then Buu wants to know how it should kill him. Babidi tells everyone to pay attention, they're gonna make an example out of him. And then Gokuu transforms into SSJ2, and Trunks notices that he's the same strength his dad was. Babidi says he's wasting his time, since Vegeta had done the same thing. Then Gokuu asks him if he wants to see something stronger than Super Saiya-jin 2. Here comes the fun part!
Piccolo wonders about something that surpasses SSJ2, and Babidi doesn't understand anything about this Super whatever. Gokuu thinks to himself about how he's noticed Trunks has stopped moving, and then he yells out for him to move and get the radar. Babidi asks what he's talking about, what radar, but Gokuu says it's nothing. Babidi thinks Gokuu must be planning something pointless, and Gokuu says he'll see soon. Then he thinks about how he has to do it, and give Trunks the time he needs, and then detransforms. Buu asks if he gives up, and Gokuu says no, he's gonna tell it about Super Saiya-jin so they'll understand. Babidi says he doesn't care, but Gokuu tells him not to say anything like that. First, he's in his normal form. Then, he transforms into a Super Saiya-jin. Then, he transforms beyond that, to Super Saiya-jin 2. Babidi doesn't notice any difference, and then Gokuu says this...is...even stronger! He starts transforming, meanwhile Kaiou-sama tries to warn him that he'll use up all his remaining time on Earth if he continues. Piccolo says his ki's going up unbelievably, and then we see Ten-san (with Chaozu) commenting about the whole Earth shaking, wondering what's up with Gokuu. And then, Babidi looks on in shock as the transformation is complete. Bye bye eyebrows, hello hair: Super Saiya-jin 3. Goten, Piccolo, Trunks, and Kuririn are all shocked by this power, as is Kamesennin, and even Gohan, Kaioushin-sama, and Kibit can feel it way out on Kaioushin Kai. Gokuu apologizes for taking so long, as he's not all that used to this form yet. Buu says it isn't scared, and Babidi doesn't care about Super Whatever 3. Gokuu says he'll make it quick, and Babidi tells Buu to put him to shame, since everyone's watching. Gokuu then rushes at Buu and grabs the thing on its head, and then starts yanking at it, and then swinging Buu around by it. Then he lets Buu go, and it flies off, but retaliates with a few very Vegeta blasts, which Gokuu sends back Buu's way. Gokuu thinks about how he didn't even hurt Buu, and how it's copying Vegeta's attack. Then Buu stretches out an arm to punch Gokuu and misses, and Gokuu just smirks as Kaiou-sama tells him to end it so he can teach the little dudes Fusion.
Gokuu and Buu exchange a few punches, and then Gokuu fires a huge Kamehameha straight through it. Then Buu heals itself and fires off its own Kamehameha, and Gokuu swats it back Buu's way. But then Buu just knocks it off into the distance, almost hitting Babidi, and it creates a huge explosion. Babidi yells at Buu for almost getting hit, and then he tells Gokuu he's not much of a hero, since that blast killed a good tenth of the Earth's population. Gokuu says he was surprised by Buu, since it has such a blank expression, and how it's able to instantly learn an opponent's attack. Buu just laughs (and grow its nose out like Pinocchio, err, wait, it doesn't even have a nose to begin with), and then Gokuu notices that Trunks's ki is moving fast, which must mean he's got the Dragon Radar. Then Gokuu detransforms, and Buu complains about their fun fight ending. Gokuu says he doesn't have time to play anymore, and Babidi tells Buu to kill him. Gokuu tells Babidi that the three he's looking for will be there in three, no two days, so wait for them and don't do anything. Buu wants to know if they're strong, and Babidi says no way, and tells Buu to kill him. Gokuu says he just thought Buu'd enjoy a good fight, and says he's made sure Babidi'll get a fitting punishment when he arrives in hell, and off he goes. Buu and Babidi wonder where he went, and what he was up to in coming there, and Babidi yells at Buu for letting him get away. He says he can't be far away, and tells Buu to go look for him, and then Buu gets an angry look. It says it's found something neat, and Babidi tells it to hurry up and tell him, and then Buu starts to tell him, and grabs him by the neck. It says since if he can't speak, he can't cast the spell to seal it away. Buu says it's learned a lot from Babidi, but doesn't need him anymore, and says "Die!" as it punches his head off, killing him.
We see Babidi's head being punched off again. Actually, Buu just punches it and it explodes, not really "punching off." Then Buu tosses off the rest of the body and blows it up. Then Buu smiles and starts dancing and saying "Yahoo!" and stuff. Gokuu's arrived up at God's palace, and he and Piccolo take notice that Buu killed Babidi, and Piccolo thinks that without Babidi Buu might settle down, and Gokuu hopes he's right. Then Buu, in its excitement, lets out a huge mouth blast causing a big ass explosion, and then we see random civilians in a city running around as Buu touches down in the street. It skips through, smashing up cars and buildings, and then stops and giggles. Then it notices a pretty girl up against a building in an alley, begging for help, and Buu asks her if she thinks it's handsome. She says yes, and then Buu stretches out its lips and says to kiss it, and she just screams, and it thinks she lied. Then Buu notices a magazine she has, and it looks at the handsome movie star dude depicted in it, and thinks that he must be what Earth girls like. So, it molds his face to look like him, and stretches out its lips, and she screams and cringes even more. Buu then thinks she's selfish, and turns her into a caramel and eats her. (Wish I had some caramel, damn...) Buu thinks waiting for the great opponent is boring, so it blows up the city and decides to play (kill Earthlings) in the meantime. Piccolo and Gokuu think this is bad, and Piccolo says Buu could easily destroy the entire planet. But Gokuu says it probably won't, since it looked really excited at the thought of having a good opponent in two days. And he thinks up here will be alright in two days, but still feels bad about the people below. Piccolo says the little dudes'll have to master Fusion before then, and Gokuu says he has to hurry, since he has less than an hour left. Piccolo thinks he should have a lot more time than that, but Gokuu explains that Super Saiya-jin 3 is meant for the afterlife, since it uses too much energy for the time in the world of the living, and you wear out easily. Basically, it makes time go by faster for the user, or something. Piccolo says to just have Dende restore his energy, but Gokuu insists he'll have to leave, and then Baba shows up and says he has only a half hour left, and Gokuu hopes Trunks hurries his ass back there. Then Piccolo asks Gokuu if he could've beaten Buu at SSJ3, and Gokuu says no, Buu's way too powerful. Piccolo asks if the reason he didn't go all out was the energy thing, and Gokuu says it's because he shouldn't even be here. He thinks the kids should handle it, since they may have to deal with a stronger opponent later in life. He decided to take the risk since he saw the potential of the little dudes, and Piccolo says Gokuu's really something. Piccolo then says to say hi to Gohan when he gets back in the afterlife, and Gokuu says Gohan's biggest problem will probably be not being able to see him and everyone else. (So maybe he does still love Mr. Piccolo!) We see Gohan training with the Z Sword, and Kaioushin-sama comments about how well he's learned to control it. Gohan thinks to himself about how he has to get stronger, and catch up to his dad, since Buu's still alive. And then Piccolo says Trunks is back, and he holds up the Dragon Radar. Gokuu tells him and Goten they don't have much time, so they'd better pay attention. And together they say, "Yes, sensei!" Gokuu wonders about that, and Piccolo says they're probably impressed by SSJ3. And then Gokuu says they'll begin.
